Welcome To American Legion Post 674
American Legion Post 674 Family,
June 22, 2020
I hope that this communication finds you well and in good health. As we have now entered into the Green phase of the COVID Reopening of the counties, the Executive Board did have our first meeting since the closure of Post 674. During the closure the Post was able to financially pay bills and keep good maintenance of the building while it was not occupied.
The Executive Board did vote on July 16, 2020 and the majority voted to reopen the Post on August 1, 2020. Although this date is our objective to reopen, the Post will need to have several significant items in place before August 1, 2020. First and foremost, we currently do not have enough employees to open in short order. Please contact Paul Lebo if you know of anyone who would like to work at the Post. As stated, we will need to have several precautionary measures in place per. PALCB and the state regulations so we can maintain our license to maintain open.
When the Post does reopen, you need to keep in mind that a lot of the changes were not made by any member, but are being directed by PALCB and State Authority and we will follow the regulations so we do not lose our license or receive any fines. We are asking for your patience as this is new to all of us as we reopen. If you can not abide by the Post By-Laws, PALCB and State Regulations around COVID, we will ask you to leave the Post. We are all eager and looking forward to reopening Post 674, but this will take all of us to reopen and most importantly after we open, we are following the regulations.
In closing, the post will be holding the Auxiliary, Sons, Home Association and Regular Board Member meetings at the Post for the month of July. Please reach out to the respective board members for the dates of the meetings.
For Regular Members: We have open Officer positions that will need to be filled. Please come to the July meeting with recommendations and we will also be voting as well that evening. If you have any interest of being a board member or you know of a candidate, they have to be present for the meeting in July.
God Bless All of You!
